Changeling: The Lost began in 2007, and amassed some of the most passionate fans the Chronicles of Darkness has ever known. Now, it’s reborn in its second edition, which tells new tales and builds on lessons learned in the past ten years. We’re jumping back into the brambles, and letting the scar tissue from last time protect us. Changeling: The Lost, Second Edition will include the many kinds of changelings and their Courts, powers and other perks for the Lost, antagonists such as Huntsmen, Hedge Ghosts, and of course the True Fae, and cities from around the world with their own local Courts.

I know it hasn't quite been two weeks since I sent out my monthly status update - but we're about to make it outdated! That's right - it's time for another reward delivery!
If you think way, way back to our time during the Kickstarter Campaign, you may remember this Stretch Goal:
Well, that was the first of several Stretch Goals that we achieved that slowly built a Player's Companion for Changeling: The Lost Second Edition. And, today it's going to be made available to you!
Oak, Ash, and Thorn is the companion book to Changeling: The Lost Second Edition that we helped fund, expanding on what’s in the core book. It contains:
Expanded rules for freeholds and a selection of seeds for sample freeholds in four international locations.
Rules for creating new court Bargains and an introduction to non-traditional Mantles, including free companies, traveling bands, and Lost dynasties, with a playable example of each.
Entitlements, the titles of nobility that changelings assume to inherit mystical legacies from the Lost who came before them, including three full examples with accompanying tokens and Merits.
Expanded rules for tokens, including two new types with examples, guidelines for creating your own, and a system for ripping out one’s heart to become unkillable.

BACKER PDF VERSION
This is the first version of Oak,Ash, and Thorn to be released. We've sent you this initial Backer PDF for three reasons:
1) To thank you for your support! Your support literally brought this project into existence! It was a Stretch Goal achievement and you stretched to reach it!
2) So you can try out the new freehold system, the new mantles, and pacts and so much more! These games are meant to be played, so you might as well jump in!
3) To make the final version the best it can be! The writing and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, formatting issues or the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.

Generally, we try to keep errata collection open for the next 2 weeks, so please report what you can as soon as possible to make sure we're getting everything covered.

Also, they already know about any Page XX notations - those are usually corrected after any changes are made and the books are being finalized.
After any needed corrections are made (based on your feedback!), we will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice from DrivethruRPG that you can re-download your file with the latest version.

Welcome to the Realm, a world of adventure and fantasy perched on an unstable nexus between the planes. Many worlds meet here—from the underworld and demon lands to our own, humble Earth. Crossings are places where the nexus is thin, allowing adventurers to travel from Earth to the Realm. They arrive in East Azoth, home to many kingdoms and just a few generations recovered from a devastating war against the undead. All is not well though, for a shadow stirs in the kingdom of Drohm. Once a peaceful nation, Drohm now toils under the yoke of Darkoth the Dark Lord—and he has his sight set on all of Azoth. When you cross over into the Realm, will you stop Darkoth? And what other adventures might you have in Legendlore?
In Legendlore, you cross from Earth into the Realm. This Crossing creates a fantasy version of yourself. You’re still you, but as an elven fighter or a hairfoot ranger. You get full agency in creating this game version of yourself—keep what you like, and change the rest.
The Realm is diverse and inclusive—people come in all skin colors, genders, and orientations. No one is wholly good or bad, and the Realm’s nations are similarly motley. This creates a rich setting full of nuance to navigate—unity is difficult even in the face of evil.
Legendlore runs on the fifth edition fantasy roleplaying engine. We added new people to play like pixies and trolls, and character options like the Alchemist class and White Unicorn fighter. We also added feats and backgrounds to represent people from Earth, and a new spell and ritual system introducing menthruac--a magical block that lets casters harness great power now for a price to pay later.

If you look at the latest Monday Meeting Notes, you'll see Kith & Kin is in Redlines (which means the developer is giving notes and suggestions to the writers to revise for the second draft), whereas Oak, Ash, and Thorn is waiting for art that has now been contracted.
Also, some have heard rumors about a book called The Hedge, which was mentioned in the Onyx Path Q&A at the Midwinter Game Convention. All I've heard is that The Hedge is on the schedule and being developed by Meghan Fitzgerald. I'm planning on keeping an eye out for any new developments and waiting for it to show up on the Project chart!

The lore has been updated to not only reflect the uptick in monsters, but also the fact that hunting monsters is not exclusive to a location, group of people, or time period. There may be more monsters than ever before, but now there are more ways to fight them, too.
In Hunter: The Vigil, anyone can be a hunter — provided you are committed to the hunt. It is a game of personal horror and sacrifice that tests relationships and encourages teamwork within a cell, compact, or conspiracy.

ONYX PATH ON KICKSTARTER IN 2019
Kickstarter continues to be an important part of the process for Onyx Path, and looking at the long list of projects in the works on the Monday Meeting Notes blog, it certainly looks like that’ll be the case in the new year.
Rather than just take pre-order for an upcoming project, Kickstarter has allowed Onyx Path to gauge interest in game lines (to see if they should develop additional projects beyond those offered during the campaign), and sometimes even add additional projects to a game line immediately via Stretch Goal achievements. More importantly, it’s a chance to interact with the community and for everyone to get involved from the earliest stages.
Looking at 2019, Onyx Path had 7 Kickstarter campaigns funded, as well as teaming up with Handiwork Games on a successful campaign for the Scarred Lands 5E Creature Collection.

First Kickstarter of 2020: Cults of the Blood Gods
In all of Vampire: The Masquerade's history, there's never been a book wholly dedicated to the diverse faiths and cults among Kindred, the ways in which they practice, their relationships with each other, and how to utilize religion in your chronicles as a force of hope and destruction.
Cults of the Blood Gods is the book you want, if you're interested in incorporating ecclesiastical horror in your games. This book contains everything you need to have each Kindred in your coterie establish a cult, cleave to a unique faith, and establish domains in the name of an ancient methuselah, being of myth, or even the Kindred protagonists themselves.
Not only that, it provides the tools necessary to play members of the Clan of Death, once known as the Cappadocians, then the Giovanni, and now the Hecata, as well as new powers for members of a large number of cults, rules for creating your own religions, and an entire story set in Munich with ready-made characters, so you can play immediately upon receipt of the book.

In Mummy: The Curse, players take on the characters of the Arisen, humans who were subjects of the greatest magic ever worked by mortal hands, the Rite of Return, in the long-lost Nameless Empire. As part of the Rite, they underwent ritual death, and their souls were eternally bound to their mortal remains. Consequently, while the Arisen can be killed, they will always return, their bodies reforming anew.
Mummy: The Curse Second Edition includes all the rules you need to play as one of the Arisen: Decrees and Pillars that reflect the transformation by the Rite of Return, Utterances and Affinities as the powers you wield and the price you pay for them, magical relics and vessels for use or sacrifice, and all manner of antagonists from immortals to Shuankhsen and others besides.
